Sisters Aya and Saki are back again in the long running Onechanbara Revolution , the first of the Onechanbara franchise on the Wii, to stem the evil multitudes of zombies with their samurai swords, stern expressions and wanton sex appeal.

This game is part of the action & adventure genre.

The gameplay in Onechanbara Revolution is similar to other beat em' up games like Dynasty Warriors and Devil May Cry. The player must perform timed attacks, known as "cool combos", to deal maximum damage. However, these attacks also have a limit due to sword fatigue, which affects the timing and damage of character attacks. A "rage meter" can be filled by performing successful attacks, transforming the player into a "devil state" where attack effectiveness is doubled.

Onechanbara Revolution was released on Wii on 20th February 2009 and is not a port of the previous game, Onechanbara vorteX , which was released on Xbox 360 in 2006.
