Safecracker , a point-and-click puzzle game, challenges players to crack safes in billionaire Duncan Adams' luxurious 4-story mansion. Family members hire a master safecracker to find the last will and testament of their deceased relative, hidden within the mansion's walls.
Gameplay revolves around mouse-based exploration and point-and-click interactions. As players dig for clues and solve puzzles, they can view the environment in 360 degrees. An in-game mapping system records progress by marking discovered puzzles with a red 'X', which turns green when solved.
Safecracker features 35 different safes to open, leading to the final "Master" safe. Puzzles range from dial-turning and button-pushing to mathematics-based challenges, pattern recognition, marble mazes, and inventory-object based puzzles. With no time limit, players can take their time to reason through each dilemma.
