The Conduit is a first-person shooter set in a near-future world where Washington D.C. is under attack by an alien race known as the Drudge. The aliens use portals called Conduits to deploy their forces throughout the city.
Players take on the role of Secret Service agent Michael Ford, who joins the shadow government organization Trust after saving the U.S. President from an assassination attempt. Initially sent to disrupt a terrorist attack and recover stolen Trust technology, Ford soon finds himself betrayed by his employers and fighting against the invading Drudge.
A unique feature in the game is the All-Seeing Eye prototype recovered at the beginning, which can detect hidden objects and enemies. This tool plays a key role in solving the game's puzzles.
The game offers 13 multiplayer modes for online play, including classic deathmatch and capture the flag modes, as well as other unique modes like ASE Football, where capturing the All-Seeing Eye and holding it longer wins.
