Players command Arwing ships and ground-based attacks from separate stations while Commanding Officers engage with enemy creatures in tower-defense gameplay. Supports up to four players using the Wii U GamePad for simultaneous local multiplayer, with each player occupying a unique role in the arcade-style skirmish mode. The game features two-installed challenges: the Story and World maps with progressive difficulty curves, and a Shiver Island franchise play mode.
