Burnout is an arcade-style racing game similar to Test Drive or Need For Speed . You'll be racing on realistic streets with real traffic, adding to the challenge. In this game, you have six courses to choose from, three inspired by Europe and three from the USA.
The game offers a variety of vehicles to select from, including compact cars and pickups. However, these are not based on real-life models.
A notable feature in Burnout is the "Burn Meter." As you perform reckless stunts like racing into oncoming traffic or power-drifting through corners, the Burn Meter fills up. Once it's full, your car gets a speed boost. But if you crash, the Burn Meter resets and needs to be filled again to get that boost.
Burnout was released for the Xbox on 5 May 2002. It belongs to the racing genre.
