The game's storyline deviates from the movie, incorporating elements from the comic books instead. The supervillains featured in the game include the Mole Man, the Puppet Master, Diablo, among others, who are not present in the original movie.

The gameplay revolves around controlling the heroic characters as they navigate through levels, battling enemies and completing mission objectives. Points earned by defeating enemies can be used to upgrade characters with new special moves or unlock bonus materials.

The game also features a co-op mode, allowing players to team up with a second player to complete single-player missions together.
