Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers is an arcade flight simulator that follows in the footsteps of Air Conflicts: Secret Wars . Players have to choose between fighting for the US Navy or the Japanese Imperial Navy. The game features five battles in each campaign with different missions and extra quests. These battles are inspired by some significant events of World War II, including the Battle of Midway and Pearl Harbor.
The gameplay is focused on arcade-style combat. Players can engage in various multiplayer modes such as deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, survival mode, and more. Improvements over the original game include a larger game environment, more detailed ship models, and for the Xbox 360 version, support for the Xbox 360 controller.
