Brothers in Arms: D-Day , released on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in December 2006, is a World War II first-person shooter that combines tactics and cover systems with team-based actions. The game follows Sgt. Matthew Baker and Cpl. Joe Hartstock through the Normandy campaign.
D-Day can be seen as a remix of its predecessors, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 and Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood , with levels and combat missions selected from the first two games and reworked for the PSP. The game also features new levels, bazooka teams, mortars, and new abilities for teammates. Destruction of covers adds a layer of strategy to the gameplay, which relies heavily on coordinating team members.
The multiplayer mode allows for Wi-Fi Ad Hoc connections, offering 12 skirmish missions or four different game modes through the co-op campaign.
