Ridge Racer 2 is an update of the existing PSP game that features several enhancements and a lot of new content. Released about a year after its predecessor, the changes and additions include:
A new opening and ending CGI movie shows the story behind the racing, while many new tracks and songs from previous Ridge Racer games add to the excitement. New SPECIAL class cars can be challenged in duels and won, adding an extra layer of competition.
Gameplay is where Ridge Racer 2 truly shines. The new Arcade mode allows players to race against a pack of 11 cars and reach checkpoints on the track to stay in the game, while survival mode provides a thrilling challenge as only one car remains at the end.
The game also features duel mode, where players face off against a single AI car, and options to adjust the difficulty of Arcade mode. With its new content and enhanced gameplay, Ridge Racer 2 is a must-play for fans of racing games on the PSP.
