Story Mode: How to Advance
You are a new student at Duel Academy, a training school for duelists. Your ultimate goal is to win the Tag Duel Tournament being held in three months.
Talk to various characters on campus and duel them to increase your Level of Trust. Once you establish a high level of trust, find a partner for Tag Duels.
Play with your partner against rivals in the Tag Duel Tournament to earn "GX Medals." Collect enough medals to advance to the finals and win the Championship Duel.
If you are unable to find a partner once three months have passed, it is game over.
Passing the Time
Time passes as you move around on the Field, talk to characters, and trigger certain events. Various changes occur depending on the time of day and the day of the week.
You can move around freely from 5:45 AM until 11:45 PM. Classes are held Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM in classrooms until the tournament starts. You can occasionally get new cards in class.
During the Tag Duel Tournament, time only passes when specific events are triggered.
