NCAA March Madness 99 is a basketball game that lets players choose from different teams, including real Division 1 men's teams, women's teams, and all-time great men's teams. The game features licensed teams with accurate names but no player names.
The game has six modes: Exhibition, Tournament, Practice, Women's Sweet Sixteen, Three-Point Shootout, and Dynasty. In Exhibition mode, players can pick any team to play against another. In Tournament mode, players can create a 64-team NCAA tournament with custom teams. Practice mode allows players to practice their skills on the court.
Other modes include Women's Sweet Sixteen, where players set up a tournament for the 16 women's teams, and Three-Point Shootout, which lets players compete in a three-point shooting contest. Dynasty mode lets players take a college team through multiple seasons, recruiting new talent to improve their team.
NCAA March Madness 99 was released on PlayStation on November 30, 1998.
