Sheep Raider is a 3D puzzle game with gameplay inspired by the wacky contraptions and situations from the original cartoons. Players need to catapult themselves across a canyon, camouflage themselves as a bush to sneak past Ralph, lure sheep with sheep perfume etc.
The player takes on the role of starving Ralph Wolf and must help him steal one sheep from Sam Sheep Dog and get it to a certain goal location. With a wide arsenal of Acme gadgets at his disposal, Ralph is sure to concoct the perfect plan for keeping his stomach filled, or not! The game takes place across 15 various stages as well as 2 hidden stages, each with their own requirements and challenges.
The puzzles in Sheep Raider consist of finding items and using them at certain locations or on certain characters. Items include lettuce to lure sheep and mines which can be defused. There are also mailboxes that allow the player to order a wide arsenal of helpful Acme gadgets, which arrive by air shipment instantly. Gadgets include a rocket, dynamite, elastic band, a fan, a metal detector, and many more.
Throughout each level, there are checkpoints that respawn the player plus sheep near the last checkpoint if they fall off a cliff or fail to reach their goal. Each level also has a clock that can be found in a hidden area and serves as an extra collectible.
Sheep Raider was released for the PSP on 2001-09-27, a unique blend of action and adventure gameplay that will keep you entertained for hours.
