Sub Rebellion , released for the Playstation 2, is a mission-based submarine shooter where you control a sub tasked with defending the remnants of the free world. The action takes place 15 years after a cataclysmic event that causes planet-wide earthquakes, destroying most of human civilization.

The game follows the storyline of the Alliance rising to defend humanity from an evil military-industrial complex seeking total control. As the player, you're in charge of controlling the Chronos , the Alliance's newest sub, through various missions starting with its maiden voyage.

The gameplay involves complex submarine controls, allowing for rapid ascents and descents, which are crucial in combat. The Chronos uses a variety of weapons and equipment, including cannons, torpedoes, and special weapons, which can be upgraded throughout the game by completing missions and collecting artifacts.
