The Suffering is an action-adventure game that follows the story of Jack, a former Special Forces operative who wakes up from a coma with no memory of his past. As he tries to piece together his identity, he discovers that he has been infected with a deadly virus that slowly turns him into a zombie-like creature.
The gameplay revolves around exploration and combat, as Jack must navigate through various environments to uncover the truth about his past and find a cure for the virus.
