The game is based on the Disney/Pixar movie Wall-E . The player controls Wall-E and his friend EVE as they explore various levels through platforming gameplay by picking up power-ups, defeating enemies, solving puzzles, and collecting items to reach inaccessible areas. Wall-E's small size and limitations make certain areas difficult to access.

The game also features flying stages where the player uses EVE to navigate constricted areas, avoiding falling objects and stationary obstacles. The game includes environments from the movie as well as new ones created exclusively for this version. It differs from its counterpart in terms of developer and number of levels, with eighteen worlds available to play through.

The gameplay is action-packed, requiring players to use Wall-E's abilities to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies.
