LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is an action game and the sequel to LEGO Batman: The Videogame . It draws elements from the Batman universe but builds it in LEGO-style bricks. The game starts when a "Man of the Year" award ceremony in Gotham City is interrupted by the Joker and a gang of bandits. Bruce Wayne becomes Batman to pursue them, teaming up with members of the Justice League.

The game has an open-world concept with gameplay similar to its predecessor. It can be played as a classic Batman character or other various DC Comics superheroes, including Superman, Green Lantern, Robin, Batgirl, The Flash and Wonder Woman. New suits have been added, such as Batman's Power Suit, which fires explosive pellets, and Robin's Acrobat Suit, which turns Robin into a ball and allows him to throw the pole into sockets to reach higher positions. The game features an original story with voice acting for the first time, 15 levels, and an explorable open-world Gotham City that can be played cooperatively in split-screen mode.
