Ghostbusters II

Ghostbusters II is loosely based on the movie of the same name, where Virgo the Carpathian appears in New York city, capturing Diana's baby. The Ghostbusters - Igon, Ray, Peter, and Winston - must chase Virgo through various locations to get him back. The game follows their journey as they navigate courtrooms, sewers, apartments, underground tunnels, and an art museum.

The gameplay is a top-view action game based on New Ghostbusters II (the second Ghostbusters II license on NES) but with unique differences. Players choose two of the four ghostbusters, who play the same, to control their movements and actions. The first ghostbuster carries a proton pack, while the second carries a ghost trap. The objective is to capture a predefined number of ghosts before time runs out. Movement is controlled by up, down, left, and right buttons, with one button firing the proton gun and another tossing the trap.

Exploring levels, any of the remaining two ghostbusters (including Louis) will occasionally appear, providing power-ups like vacuum guns, instant traps, and invulnerability. Touching them swaps the player's chosen Ghostbuster or grants temporary powers. With these unique abilities, players can overcome challenges and rescue Diana's baby.
