Set in the fictional town of Silent Hill, Silent Hill HD Collection is a horror game that follows two main storylines. The first, based on the film Silent Hill 2 , revolves around James Sunderland's search for his wife in this haunted town. As he delves deeper into its mysteries, he uncovers dark secrets and confronts his own personal demons.

The second storyline is inspired by the game Silent Hill: Origins and follows Henry Townshend as he searches for a friend in Silent Hill. His journey takes him through the town's eerie environments, where he encounters terrifying creatures and uncovers the source of its curse.

Gameplay in Silent Hill HD Collection revolves around exploration and puzzle-solving. Players control either James or Henry as they navigate through the town's various environments, solving puzzles and avoiding the town's monstrous inhabitants. The game features a mix of combat, stealth, and puzzle-solving mechanics, which must be used strategically to progress through the story.
