Tales From the Borderlands

The game opens with Rhys searching for Fiona in a desert. He is captured by a man interested in the Gortys project and later discovers he has also taken Fiona captive. The entire game is told as flashbacks, alternating between Rhys and Fiona, to explain how they got up to that point. In these flashbacks, we learn about Rhys' life working for Handsome Jack's Hyperion and his involvement in a shady deal with Vasquez. He teams up with his friends Yvette and Vaughn to obtain the vault key, which leads them into a series of misadventures.

The second set of flashbacks introduces Fiona, a con artist born and raised on Pandora with her sister Sasha. They devise elaborate scams, including selling a fake vault key, which brings Rhys and Fiona together. The two reluctantly team up to retrieve the money from Bossanova's facility, but their paths soon diverge. The game then splits into two pairs of characters who take different routes.

The gameplay involves a mix of exploration, puzzle-solving, and quick-time events. The player must adapt to different character mindsets as they switch roles quickly throughout the game. Fiona can also collect money hidden in the environment, which can be used to influence certain situations.
