Pac-in-Time , released in 1995, is an action-adventure game for the Game Boy console. The story follows Pac-Man as he navigates through eight regions of a huge island, each with its own unique characteristics and challenges. As Pac-Man explores the island, he must collect points by eating pellets and other power-ups that allow him to transform into different creatures, such as a swimmer, rock eater, or fireball spitter. His ultimate goal is to reach The Machine, a mysterious device that appears to be his only way out of the island.
The gameplay involves navigating through each region, using Pac-Man's various forms to overcome obstacles and enemies. However, unlike traditional platformers, each screen in Pac-in-Time has multiple exits, which can either bring you closer to or further from your goal. This unique design adds a layer of complexity and strategy to the game.
Pac-in-Time is not a new game, but rather a reskinning of the 1994 game Fury of the Furries, where you control a character called Tiny instead of Pac-Man. The European Tinies characters were used in this version as an alternative to Pac-Man.
