The Space Adventure , known in Japan as Cobra II: Densetsu no Otoko , is the second game dedicated to the adventures of the renegade space pirate Cobra. The game is based on original manga and TV series by Buichi Terasawa.
While waiting in a bar for his partner, Cobra meets a beautiful bounty hunter named Jane. He soon realizes that the bounty Jane has been hunting for his own head, which attracts the attention of the Galaxy Patrol, who offer a significant reward. However, everything changes when Crystal Boy, the head of the Pirate Guild and Cobra's archenemy, appears on the scene. Jane's father had apparently hidden a great treasure, encoded in tattoos on the backs of his triplet daughters. Crystal Boy wants this treasure, and is going after Jane and her sisters. Cobra and Jane decide to join forces to find Jane's sisters and thwart Crystal Boy's plans.
The game is an action-adventure that features Japanese-style gameplay. The player progresses by choosing commands such as "Look" or "Talk". There are a few locations where the character will die if the wrong decision is made, and in the final location, the player must engage in turn-based battles against enemies. The game includes numerous animated cutscenes and voice-overs for many dialogues.
The Space Adventure was released on the Sega CD in 1995.
