Choplifter III is a challenging shoot'em up game where you fly your helicopter through enemy territory to rescue hostages. Your mission is to navigate through levels while avoiding damage from enemy fire, buildings, trees, walls, and other obstacles.

The gameplay involves destroying enemies using the helicopter's standard weapon or picking up more powerful weapons throughout the levels. Your primary objective is to pick up a certain number of hostages and transport them back to your home base, all while managing the helicopter's fragile health.
