Dynamite Headdy is a platformer with a twist. You control a little character whose main attack comes from his disembodied head. Yes, he uses his detachable appendages to attack enemies before another hero appeared.

The gameplay revolves around swapping your head for different kinds – some heal you, while others stick on to walls. Your head is used to climb up platforms as well, grabbing hold of things with it. In certain stages, a propeller or jet head is gained, turning the game into a side-scrolling shooter.
