George Foreman's KO Boxing is a boxing simulation game featuring heavyweight champion George Foreman. The game follows his journey as he goes through a series of twelve rounds against different boxers to win the championship title belt. Players take on the role of Foreman, facing opponents in a battle for supremacy.
The gameplay in George Foreman's KO Boxing is fast-paced and action-packed. Players control Foreman from a third-person perspective, moving left and right to dodge incoming punches, block and throw left and right punches. The standard punch is a cross, but by holding the Up-key pressed, jabs can also be thrown.
The game requires strategy and timing to succeed. A superpunch becomes available when players avoid punches and hit them, inflicting much more damage. However, this comes with risks, as taking too many punches can drain the energy meter. Players must carefully manage their attacks and defenses to outmaneuver their opponents.
George Foreman's KO Boxing features multiple modes, including a single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer. All versions (except for Game Boy) support two-player mode, allowing friends to compete against each other. A password system is used to save progress and resume gameplay at a later time.
