Kenseiden

The game features challenging level design, with Hayato facing off against ghosts, skeletons, and other supernatural enemies amidst bamboo houses or dark caves. Armed with his curved sword, Hayato can swish at will to dispatch his foes, but beware – contact with a monster will cost him some life.

Each level culminates in a showdown with a warlock or one of their minions, who often guard a sealed door that only opens upon defeat. Defeating these enemies rewards Hayato with special powers, such as increased jumping ability or the whirling sword technique, which can be used to overcome obstacles and progress through the game.
