Darius Twin is a side-scrolling shooter where your goal is to stop an evil alliance led by Belser from attacking your world. You'll pilot a Silver Hawk fighter through various stages, each with multiple enemies and a large final boss. The game starts with limited firepower, but collecting certain enemy kills grants power-ups to increase your capabilities.
Gameplay involves flying through the stages while avoiding or shooting down enemies. The game features power-ups that can be collected to enhance your ship's abilities. Unlike some other games in the series, you don't lose all collected weapons if your ship is destroyed, and you continue from the same point instead of being sent back to a checkpoint.
