The Power of the Hired , released on the Super Famicom, is an action-adventure game that follows the story of a young boy named Makoto, who lives in a village surrounded by ancient ruins. One day, Makoto receives a mysterious letter from a man named Oda, who claims to be the last son of his clan and asks for his help on a quest to reclaim his family's legacy.
As Makoto embarks on this journey, he must navigate through treacherous terrain, fight against formidable enemies, and solve puzzles to uncover the secrets of Oda's past. Along the way, Makoto discovers that his village is being threatened by an evil force known as the "Darkness", which seeks to destroy everything in its path.
The gameplay involves exploring 3D environments, fighting enemies, and solving puzzles using a variety of items and abilities at Makoto's disposal. With a focus on action and exploration, The Power of the Hired challenges players to think strategically and use their wits to overcome obstacles.
