PowerMonger , released on the Super Famicom in 1993, is an action & adventure game that builds upon the design of Bullfrog's previous title Populous . The player takes on the role of a warlord aiming to conquer the world by plundering their way through 195 territories. They are not alone in this goal, as other leaders also seek to achieve global domination.
The game features a polygonal gameworld, allowing for greater freedom of movement and rotation than its predecessor Populous . Players must use trade, diplomacy, inventions, and strategic invasions to progress through the game. Additionally, computer versions of the game offer two-player gameplay via modem links.
