Pocky & Rocky is a side-scrolling action game set in ancient Japan, where you control the duo of Princess Pocky and her raccoon friend Rocky as they run through temples and shrines to defeat enemies. The game features "Super Deformed" style graphics, adding to its unique charm.
The gameplay revolves around shooting and fighting your way through levels, with each character having their own special moves: Pocky shoots playing cards for long-range attacks, while Rocky uses his tail for the same purpose. For short-range combat, Pocky wields a rod, and Rocky employs his tail as well. Additionally, Pocky can perform a spin attack, and Rocky has an invulnerability move, where he freezes into a statue.
