Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu is a side-scrolling fighting game where Jackie Chan must rescue his twin sister Josephine from The Sorcerer's clutches. The story begins with The Sorcerer casting a spell to make Josephine disappear, leaving only Jackie to follow him and defeat his minions in order to save China.
Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu features simple yet addictive gameplay. Players control Jackie Chan, using two buttons: one for jumping and another for attacking or special moves. The game includes a variety of enemies, such as frogs, ninjas, and birds, which can be defeated by punching and kicking them in different directions. Special moves, like the Tornado attack and 180 degree spin kick, can also be performed using specific button combinations.
