Adventure Mode
The objective is to see the story through to the end and accomplish all tasks. You play based on an exciting adventure story where you receive jobs from NPCs at the riding school. You must care for your horse, help your friend Eric find his lost asthma spray, find a stray cat, and participate in competitions. You must always return to the riding school to complete each task.
Training Mode
In this mode, you are free to take care of your horse and ride a specific number of trails. It offers a quick introduction to the game mechanics. You learn to care for horses and go out on various different rides.
Horse Selection
This section allows you to enter Adventure or Training modes. You can select from saved horses; three can be stored for Adventure and three for Training. The game starts from where you left off when you reload. Selecting "New" replaces the current horse, but this deletes your previous selections.
Horse Editor
The Horse Editor helps you "design" a horse based on your own ideas, allowing customization of coat and mane colors.

Horse Care
Maintain your horse's well-being by cleaning the stall, grooming, and providing food and water. Clean the stall by removing old straw with a pitchfork and spreading new straw from bales. This increases the horse's value, indicated by a flower on the display. Use the mane comb, brush, and hoof iron to earn additional flowers. You may spread new straw once daily, but grooming can be done several times.
Thirst and hunger levels are tracked separately. Go to the harness room, select the water pump, and fill the drinking trough in the stall. Similarly, select a feed sack to fill the feeding trough. Completing these actions earns you flowers.
Saddling Up
To ride, first saddle your horse in the harness room using the saddle block. Return to the stall and place the saddle on the horse using the Control Pad. Press A to secure it, then press B to exit the stall into the courtyard.
Free Ride
The exit to the right of the yard leads to a natural area with forests and meadows. You can choose between two modes:
•
Fun Mode: Ride for as long as you like with no time limit.
•
Competition Mode: Complete as many jumps as possible within a specified time. Points are earned for each jump and displayed in a results list.
Tournaments
Tournaments offer gold ribbons and bonus objects. You can choose between dressage and jumping tournaments.
Dressage
Participate in dressage at the riding hall. Choose from three tournaments with varying difficulty. Points are awarded for figures performed without faults. Incorrect gaits or failed figures result in point deductions. Results are displayed for all riders after each tournament. The current exercise display shows the required steps and gait.
Jumping
Go to the horse trailer to enter jumping competitions. Choose from six tournaments with varying difficulty. Complete jumps in a specific sequence as quickly as possible. Refusals or breaking a jump results in penalty seconds. Results are published after each tournament.
Bonus System
Winning a tournament awards a gold ribbon. Collecting these ribbons qualifies you for bonus objects like saddles, decorations, feed, or clothing, which appear in their respective locations.
