NBA 2K12 took what had made NBA 2K11 successful and added some new features. The game offers more than 1,000 new animations and additional post-play moves.
The game includes a "Greatest" mode, which allows players to relive historic moments of 15 legendary NBA players. There is also the Create-A-Legend mode, where players can guide an NBA player to Hall-of-Fame success. The Association and My Player modes have been revamped for improved gameplay.
The game features 30 classic NBA teams to unlock, with support for 3D display on the Wii console.
