Planes: Fire & Rescue is set during fire season in Piston Peak Park, where a team of firefighting vehicles, including Dusty and his friends Lil’ Dipper, Windlifter, and Blade, must keep citizens and property safe. They are tasked with performing duties such as scooping up water, hoisting up boulders, guiding stranded camper vans, airlifting stranded hikers, and calling in smoke jumpers to bulldoze debris.
Players receive radio messages of emergencies and must complete tasks within a time limit to receive a Bronze, Silver, or Gold medal. The game features 30 different Training Academy missions and 12 emergency call story missions, requiring quick completion times to succeed.
