The Conduit is a first-person shooter set in a near-future world where an alien race called the Drudge invade Washington D.C. using portals known as Conduits to deploy their forces throughout the city.
The player takes on the role of Secret Service agent Michael Ford, who becomes embroiled in a conspiracy when he's sent to disrupt a terrorist attack and recover stolen technology from the Trust organization. However, Ford soon finds himself betrayed by his employers and fighting against the invading Drudge.
A unique feature in the game is the All-Seeing Eye, a prototype recovered at the beginning of the game that can detect hidden objects and enemies. This ability proves crucial in solving the game's puzzles.
The Conduit offers 13 multiplayer modes for online play, including deathmatch, capture the flag, and ASE Football, where capturing and holding the All-Seeing Eye gives the player an advantage.
