Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure takes you on a skateboarding journey through the worlds of Toy Story, Tarzan, and The Lion King. Each universe offers different levels and locals to visit, allowing you to play as characters from those universes or create your own from scratch. Every character has their own unique look, board, moves, and collectibles.

The game features a 3D environment with a 3rd person perspective, using the same game engine as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 . With Practice Modes and Freeskate moves, you can try out new tricks safely and freely. The game also includes several "pro moves" and level-specific moves that can be done.
