Dragon Ball: Raging Blast is a fighting game based on the Dragon Ball franchise, following events seen in the Dragon Ball Z anime. The game features 43 playable characters, including favorites like Goku and Vegeta, as well as what-if characters such as Super Saiyan 3 Broly.
The game includes various modes to keep replayability high. The main Story mode, Dragon Battle Collection , is split into 7 story chapters, each related to a different saga of the anime. Players can relive famous battles and experience the sagas:
Saiyan Saga
Frieza Saga
Bardock Saga
Androids Saga
Majin Buu Saga
Legendary Super Saiyan Saga
What-if Stories
In addition to Story mode, players can access Versus mode for single battles or team battles with friends or the CPU. The World Tournament allows players to choose a character and advance by winning each round, unlocking items and new moves. There's also online play mode, where players can fight against others worldwide in ranked matches or custom tournaments.
The main gameplay involves one-on-one fights between opponents, each with their unique skills and moves. The objective is to lower the opponent's health before they do it to you. Moves and abilities require Ki , and stronger ones waste more Ki . Certain fighters can transform into powerful beings using in-game transformations.
The Museum mode allows players to view character information, replays, music, and conversations between characters.
