Beany Bopper , released for the Atari 2600 in 1982, follows the story of Bopper as he attempts to capture and stun various creatures on the screen. The main objective is to stun and then capture Beanies, Bouncing Orange Eyeballs, and Falling Objects without losing a life. If an unstunned Beany touches you, it's game over, but capturing other items without stunning them will slow them down.
The gameplay involves navigating Bopper through the environment while avoiding obstacles, using his abilities to stun and capture creatures, and ultimately scoring bonus points by shooting four Beanies in a row without losing a life. Players can choose between two game options: one where Beanies bounce off the walls on screen, or another where they pass through.
