Bomberman Quest follows Bomberman 's journey home after his rocket engines are stolen, causing chaos and leaving him to fend off escaped monsters. His mission is to reclaim the stolen engines by traversing four lands and speaking with the locals. The game features a top-down action RPG style where players can collect upgrades such as bomb parts and skills from defeating enemies.
Gameplay involves navigating Bomberman through various environments, battling enemies, and collecting items to aid in his quest. In addition to the single-player campaign, Bomberman Quest also features a multiplayer battle mode, allowing two players to compete against each other on linked Game Boy Colors.
