Hades is a rogue-like dungeon crawler where you play as Zagreus, the prince of the Underworld, trying to escape his father's realm to reach Mount Olympus. The player takes on the role of Zagreus and embarks on a quest supported by other Olympians who grant him gifts to aid in his journey.
Gameplay involves navigating through randomly generated rooms in an isometric view, fighting enemies with primary weapons, special attacks, and magic spells. As you clear each room, you can choose from three persistent boosts gifted by the Olympians to enhance your run. You'll also collect in-game currency and keys, which can be used to unlock permanent upgrades or new weapons.
