Build Your Medabot!
A basic Medabolt comes out of the box, but creating your own configuration of Medaparts is the most rewarding aspect of ownership. The essential components that comprise all Medabots are as follows:
β’
Tinpet: The hardware or metal chassis for a Medabot. Collect multiple Tinpets to add hardware and Medaparts to create a Medabot.
β’
Medals: The heart and soul of every Medabot and the most highly prized item in the game. While most Medals are common, some are so rare that people will try to steal them. β’
Medaparts: Available in four types: legs, left arms, right arms, and heads. You can buy Medaparts, but to obtain a used one, you must win them in Robotales or trade for them.
Your Medawatch
Your Medawatch is more than a communication tool; it is a valuable database containing data on Medals, Medaparts, and game progress. Understanding how to program it for Robattles helps you advance quickly in the game. The following tips and information will get you started. Medabots
β’
Assigning a Leader: Robattle teams feature leaders and partners. Both roles fight equally hard, but if your leader ceases to function, you lose the Robattle regardless of how many partners remain.
β’
Refitting Medabots: It is important to assign Medabots according to their roles. If you change a Medabot from a leader to a partner, check that its Medaparts support your team.

Head Medaparts
β’
Specialty: A one-word description for the head Medepart. Using this specialty grants your STAFF certain specific advantages.
β’
Rate of Success: The higher the Armour amount, the tougher the head Medepart. High Rate of Success means the part is less likely to fail in combat.
β’
Specialty Action: When you point damage, a Medepart can strike one target and specify the strike type, such as "Berserk" or "Shoot." This Medepart can automatically use these specialties for your Medeparts.
β’
Amount of Uses: Some parts have limited charges available during a sortie. This amount recharges automatically after each sortie.
β’
Arm Compatibility: Equipping a head Medepart increases your Rate of Success (ROS) in a Robotic.
Arm Medaparts
β’
Armour: Some Medeparts are not strong but cannot take much damage. Try to balance power with a fair amount of armour.
β’
Rate of Success: A high Rate of Success (ROS) value for "Shoot" and "Strike" Medeparts leads to winning skirmishes.
β’
Power: Greater power inflicts more damage. Weapon Medeparts work best against light-armoured, fast-moving Medebots.
β’
Specialty: Each time you use this specialty, your STAFF has certain specific advantages. "Berserk" and "Shoot" are executed with specific specialties that this Medepart can automatically use.
β’
Charge: Arm Medeparts require time to charge before you can use them.
β’
Arm Compatibility: Attaching arm Medeparts to Medebots with the same specialty increases your Rate of Success (ROS) and maximises damage on tough opponents.
β’
Radiation: Arm Medeparts require a cooling-down period before they can be used again.

Medabots Robattle!
You won't get far in the game without winning Robattles. Pay close attention to the tips on page 22 to learn the key elements needed to emerge victorious.
β’
Character Selected: Use a move from your list during a miss. If you use that Medial move and Medabot, the rating appears in the lower left corner of the screen.
β’
Charge Medaforce: Medabots, along with their Medaboys (M), gain Medaforce whenever they receive damage. You can collect large amounts of Medaforce by reducing your Medabot to a charge MF.
β’
Move Selected: Medabots always have automatic Medapoints when they reach the centre of the screen. If they lose the Medapoint, the track is automatically recorded as a "miss."
What's Next?
The wily Rubberbo Gang will stop at nothing to turn kids out of sidebots. Remain vigilant as you hunt down this elusive band. Rely on your Meduscine powers to defeat the toughest enemies. If that doesn't work, change Medaparts or retreat from wherever you last saved to build skill levels. Good luck is often as precious as the rarest Medal.
