Monster Pro Wrestling pits the human mutant wrestlers against the evil demon wrestlers in a battle of strength and wits. In 1970, the demonic forces led by Belzebuth threaten humanity's existence with a wrestling tournament that will decide the fate of the world. Doctor Takeru Yamato creates his own genetically engineered mutant wrestlers to compete and potentially save humankind from destruction.
The gameplay in Monster Pro Wrestling revolves around strategy and luck as the player adjusts their mutant wrestler's attributes before entering a match. The game allows five tactics: defense, magic, attack, or special move, each accompanied by a random number that determines its effectiveness. Similarly, the demon wrestlers have their own chosen tactic with a randomly generated number, making the outcome of each match dependent on both the player's and opponent's numbers. Winning requires having a higher number, while losing means the wrestler runs out of hit points.
