Fortress , a classic adventure game for the Commodore 64, takes you on an exciting journey through a countryside of fortresses as you aim to reach Fortress Alcazar. Along the way, you'll need to collect various items to aid in your quest.

You'll be able to view your surroundings using the strategy map, which provides an overview of the fortresses and your current location. As you navigate through these mysterious castles, you must decide which path is quick and safe. Each castle has its own unique objects, each guarded by a powerful demon. Your goal is to collect these items and use them strategically to master Fortress Alcazar.

The game will provide you with clues about the monsters nearby, some of which can be quite challenging to defeat. With four different difficulty levels to choose from, you'll need to exercise caution and strategy in your gameplay.
