The game follows the story of four brothers who are trained in the art of ninjutsu by a wise rat named Splinter. They must navigate through the streets of New York City, fighting against the evil forces of the Foot Clan and its leader, Shredder. The turtles soon discover that they are being hunted by Shredder's army, led by the treacherous Hun.
The gameplay of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is an action-packed side-scrolling beat-em-up. Players control any of the four turtle brothers as they fight their way through hordes of Foot Clan soldiers and other enemies. The game features a variety of weapons and power-ups that can be used to defeat enemies, including ninja stars, bo staffs, and pizza slices.
The game also features a number of boss battles against iconic Shredder characters, each with their own unique abilities and weaknesses. Players must use strategy and quick reflexes to defeat these bosses and progress through the game's levels.
