Guilty Gear X is set in a world where artificial beings called "gears" were created by humans in the 22nd century. However, these gears eventually turned against their creators, leading to a bloody conflict. The story takes place in year 2180, when a gear named Justice was killed during a tournament organized by the Sacred Order of Holy Knights. Recently, a new gear was discovered, and it's said to be extremely strong and unable to be captured or killed.
The game is a 2D fighting game with Guilty Gear X , where you can choose from 16 characters to battle against each other. The battle system has become more complex, with various moves that can be performed, including special attacks built up by filling the Tension Gauge and defensing moves. Instant kill moves return from the previous game.
