Magical Drop II is a puzzle game where you control a clown who can grab and throw balloons. The goal is to match three balloons of the same colour or more vertically to pop them and clear the screen. You can hold multiple balloons of the same colour at once, causing consecutive collisions that make it easier to remove them. There are special balloons with unique properties and power-ups that give you an advantage.
The game has several modes to play in, depending on where you're from. In Survival mode, your aim is to keep playing as long as possible - a never-ending stream of balloons appears at an increasingly fast pace as you move up levels. Alternatively, you can choose from two other game modes: Puzzle and VS Mode.
Puzzle mode is all about clearing a set number of balloons within a limited time frame, while VS Mode lets you compete against the computer or another player in a split-screen duel. Each character has special item balloons that can be used to gain an edge during gameplay.
