Game Modes
Both Adventure and Challenge Modes offer the same opponents and similar stage designs.
Adventure Mode
Team up with one of eight cartoon characters and take on computer-controlled opponents. Contestants have different special powers, so try them all to find one that matches your playing style.
Challenge Mode
Challenge Mode offers easier initial stages, making it ideal for beginning players to learn fundamental game mechanics. You'll have infinite opportunities and continues, perfect for building skills for Adventure Mode's difficult stages.
Option Mode
Select your perspective and controller configuration here. You can also access this menu by pausing your Adventure Mode or Challenge Mode game. Most players prefer to tweak their game preferences before starting.
Start the Game
Challenge Mode is the easiest way to learn the game. If you're ready for a challenge, Adventure Mode does not offer endless continues.
Choose Your Character
When fully powered-up, each character has a specific special power that can help you complete the game. Beginners will find the Mermaid's special power easiest to master.

What You See: Number of Balls

What You See: Paddle
Move your paddle from side to side to hit the ball and keep it in play.
Look for an Angle on Your Play
Where you hit the ball on your paddle will determine its direction. Try aiming at blocks, but keep in mind that you can't add spin or "English" to the ball.
Bouncing the Ball
The quickest way to raise your score is by bouncing the ball over the walls of blocks. Always bounce the ball while it is rolling away from your paddle.
Use Special Powers to Win!
Depending on your character, you can blast blocks, catch balls, or expand your paddle while your energy bar flashes. How you use your character's special skill can improve your score and open advanced levels.
