Shake Kids follows the adventures of Randy or Nihni, the two main playable characters, as they navigate a unique world viewed from an angle. The gameplay revolves around throwing a boomerang jug at enemies to defeat them while avoiding obstacles. As the player progresses, their vitality is measured in hearts, which can be extended by collecting a set number of hearts. Interacting with other characters and solving puzzles will also play a significant role in completing the game.
