Blaze Union: Story To Reach The Future is set three years before the events of Yggdra Union . The kingdom of Bronquia is in a state of turmoil under a greedy king who has failed to rule effectively, leaving the population struggling. Garlot, a member of a group of noble thieves, becomes embroiled in the crisis when approached by a local noble who tasks him with finding a way to stabilize the kingdom before it collapses.
Gameplay-wise, Blaze Union builds upon the foundations laid in Yggdra Union , continuing its unique blend of card game, turn-based strategy and real time strategy. The game introduces three new cards and features a branching narrative with three possible endings depending on the player's choices.
Blaze Union: Story To Reach The Future was released for the PSP in 2010, marking another installment in Sting's Dept. Heaven series.
