In UFO: A Day in the Life , a small alien is sent by his superior, Mother, to rescue over 50 aliens who were left stranded in an apartment building after a UFO crash. However, these aliens are invisible and can only be located with the help of a device called "Cosmic". The player must take full pictures of the aliens so that the rescue team knows where to search.
To solve this problem, the hero must carefully observe the environment and the behavior of humans and other animals. For example, if an animal appears to be afraid of something, there might be a chance an alien is nearby. The player has limited time and picture opportunities, making each visit a challenge.
UFO: A Day in the Life is a puzzle game with adventure elements, where the hero must travel through different rooms in the apartment building at various times of day. The player must take pictures of invisible aliens, and each successful photo will open up new areas or time slots. The game features a unique art style and eccentric character design, making it a distinctive experience.
UFO: A Day in the Life is the second game developed by Love-de-lic, following Moon: Remix RPG Adventure . It shares similarities with its predecessor, including quirky character designs, a "gibberish" language, and a day/night cycle with character schedules.
UFO: A Day in the Life was released on June 24th, 1999 for the Playstation console.
