My Merry Maybe is a visual novel romance adventure game developed by KID, released on the Sega Dreamcast in 2002. The story follows Hiroto Kishimori, a college student who visits a rural area for teaching practice, and a high-school principal, as they encounter a mysterious white female silhouette on the road. After putting her in their car, they rush to the nearby town to find a doctor, and she awakens at the school infirmary with no memory of who her master is. She identifies herself as Rev, a humanoid artificial life form also known as Reprise, and Hiroto becomes her guardian until her owner is found.
The gameplay and user interface are similar to other visual novels, offering basic functions such as auto-play and pause, hide on-screen text to see background image and characters, message log which can be voice-replayed, and many other options. The game also features full voice-acting for all characters, including male and female characters, with animations depicting different attitudes.
My Merry Maybe is a direct sequel to My Merry May, continuing the story originally planned as a trilogy. The game was initially released on the Sega Dreamcast and later re-released on PlayStation 2 under the name My Merry May with Be in 2002.
